Kirsteen & Kyle- esession

Kirsteen and Kyle are a couple who's a lot of fun and totally in love. I really enjoyed spending a evening in the hot July sun getting to know them better.....even if the 1st location we chose was completely infested with Ants. Ouch! All and all, it was a wonderful evening full of good laughs.

Jacqui & Steve- esession

Jacqui and Steve's wedding is coming up fast! Can believe it August is nearly here? Time flies in the summer. We enjoyed a hot summer evening out West of the city taking pictures and hearing stories about the two of them. I also enjoyed meeting their little baby, I mean, puppy, Dexter :) He was absolutely adorable and they sure do love him.

Great getting to know you both a little better before your wedding. Looking forward to it!

Chelsea & Chris- esession

Chelsea and Chris are getting married next May in the Mayan Riviera and I am very excited to join them. They will be wed at the Bahia Principe, which is the same resort where Tim & I got married and that really adds to the excitement for me. The place is picture perfect and I have so many good memories there. This will just add to them! Chelsea and Chris are a sweet couple who make each other laugh constantly and seem to be up to for anything. Chris can do a million different impersonations, which kept me laughing all night long.

So, I am totally not recommending you do this at your ceremony with out your Pastor's permission ( I have no idea how they pulled this off actually!) but it is absolutely fun to watch! Must have been a very liberal Church with a very fun bridal party. I had a huge grin on my face the entire song.

Erin & Shane- esession

Erin and Shane are getting married next year in Invermere at (one of my husbands favourite gold clubs) Eagle Ranch and I am lucky enough to join them on their day! Erin and Shane live in Maryland and found me through the nifty site Wedding Wire. They were up in Alberta for the weekend before making their way out to BC and we were lucky enough to find a time to meet up for the first time. I liked them immediately and found their love for each other so endearing. They are some of the coolest people I ever met too: Shane works for NASA designing space suits!! I was absolutely fascinated by this fact and bothered him with a million and one questions! So cool.

Thanks for sharing your evening with me. Erin said it best when she remarked how wonderful it is to just enjoy nature and it's beauty for a whole evening. I wholeheartedly agree. How amazing is my job? Always surrounded by beautiful surroundings and amazing people.

Talia & Zach- July 18 2009

Talia and Zach were married at St. Basil's with their reception in the Church's huge hall. This couple and their Bridal Party were a lot of fun, even in the hot, hot summer heat. Talia's brother even tried running after the ice cream truck! Anything to keep cool! We photographed their formals in the ravine within the tall spruce trees and enjoyed the shade. I didn't know till the reception that I was in the also in the presence of movie stars! Talia has a some roles in movies produced in Western Canada and her bridesmaid Anna is also an actress who recently starred in a independent film that sounds amazing. Pretty impressive! It was also great working with my videographer friends over at Imago Weddings another time this summer :)

Talia & Zach: Your day was perfect, not a cloud in the sky and full of fun & friends. I wish you both nothing but blessings in your future together!

I'm in love...

Tim and I recently had a Beloved Session with Photographer Jesh De Rox. He just posted some of his favourites on his Blog and I simply had to share them with you. I'm not used to being on the other side of the camera and the experience was wonderful. I really felt like he captured "us" and isn't that the whole purpose of photography? Love is an amazing emotion that deserves to photographed far after your wedding day. I love Tim million times more then I did on our wedding (not that I realized that this was even possible) and it is a absolute pleasure to have that love documented again.

Courtenay & Trevor- esession

Courtenay & Trevor are getting married this August at the Winspear Centre. I have to say I am very excited for this one! The details sound amazing (and I'm all about the details!) Jolyn from Nuance Occasions is helping them plan, so I know it is going to be great :) I really enjoyed hanging out with these two. We share a lot in common, including a LOVE for travelling. We shared stories all night while trying to beat the mosquitoes. Unfortunately, even with tons of spray and I am still completely welted...and I'm sure you're both too. Good thing the images are worth it.

Brianne & Josh- esession

Brianne and Josh are getting married this September and I had the pleasure of meeting them for some fun engagement pictures this week.
