2008 Charity Christmas Challenge

It's that time of year again!

It was a tough choice choosing my Christmas Challenge 2008 idea, but coming home from Latin America to freezing cold Edmonton sparked something. We walked off the plane without jackets or warm clothing and we were quite cold....but only until we got our car to grab our winter jackets and made it to our nice warm home.

Now, what if that wasn't a possibility? What if we had no warm place to go home to and no extra layer of clothing to put on against the cold winter nights.

So this year I am asking for big, warm blankets for the Blanket Alberta in Warmth campaign. Please do not drop off little knitted throws, but just large comforters warm enough to help people make it through our long winters. These blankets will be given away to low income families who may not be able to afford the high price of natural gas or to the homeless on our streets. These blankets will distributed through various organizations, churches, and agencies in, and around our community, where they are needed most. As well warm winter jackets in any size are also always needed in the Edmonton area for those less fortunate then ourselves.

So here's the deal:

For every big warm blanket (new or gently used & clean) or every winter jacket (men, women's or child size) brought in before December 31 you will receive a 8x10 Custom Photographic Print ($50 value) of your choice. This applies to all clients from 2008 and new wedding clients from 2009. You can choose an image from your Engagement, Wedding or Family session to be made into a 8x10 (up to 10 prints per Client). Prints can not be "doubled up" to receive the next largest size, this challenge only applies to 8x10 prints. Not only can you can complete some Christmas shopping but you can help someone really in need in our Community.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me at info@knphoto.ca and if you need to set up a drop off appointment please call the office at 780-231-1899.

Last year with our 2007 Christmas Challenge we collected 135 Toys for Santa's Anonymous and I enjoyed making just as many 8x10's. Let's try to break that record this year and Blanket Alberta in Warmth. My clients are all so generous and such amazing people I have no doubts to our success!

Looking forward to seeing many of you back in our home this holiday season!

Cheers & Happy Holidays,

Kelsy
