Tara & Clint- February 15 2009
Tara and Clint were married on Sunday surrounded by ther closest family and friends. The ceremony was very personal and had parts unique to themselves. They wrote their own vows which is always emotional, and they even had a special Ceremony for Tara and Trinity. It was so beautiful and touching, and made me smile. Luckily, Sunday was a bit warmer the Saturday and this crazy Bridal Party decided to do all the portraits outside! We had some fun trudging through snow and warming up with yummy Hot Chocolate. I had a lot of fun spending a wintery day outside since that doesn't happen often :)
The reception was also a wonderful display of love and family connections. Tara and Clint have such an amazing outlook on life and really understand the meaning of it all. I learned a lot from listening to the speeches about love and life and will continue to try to never turn down the opportunity to throw a party for my friends or just tell some one I love them. Thank you for sharing that with me.
Thank you again for trusting me to document your most precious memories. God Bless you both in your new beginning together.
Hugs,
Kelsy
They got ready at The Met... It was fun to watch both sides of the Bridal Party get ready together.... they guys were a bit faster and allowed Clint a moment to collect his thoughts.
Jaclyn & Jason- February 14 2009
Jaclyn and Jason were married on Valentines Day at the beautiful historic St. Joachim Church. After a tear-filled ceremony the bridal party was whisked away for some portraits downtown. After taking Jaclyn outside for a couple of shots before the ceremony, she was quite convinced that indoor pictures would be suffice.... not that I could blame her, it was -18'C when we left for the church. Brr! However, the cold did not put a damper on the day. Everything went off smoothly and perfectly: The Bridal party was a hoot, Jaclyn and Jason were relaxed and the ring bear & flower girl were absolutely adorable (they stole the show on more then one occasion!). The reception took place at The Sutton Place and was decorated exquisitely with hints of red. I was sat at table of some of the funnest people I have ever met a reception....we laughed and laughed. The night was full of great speeches, funny props and a great slide show that everyone choked up. Love was in the air for sure!
Thanks for sharing your love and lives with me. You could not have had a better day with more beautiful memories. And according to my Husband, you won't have any problem remembering your anniversary....and you even get combine two holidays with one present!
Lots of Valentines Love,
Kelsy

2009 Bride's Choice Awards
With the big Laughing for Cancer benefit coming up this weekend I have been talking to a past client Shannon who is involved with the planning of it. She was making up a "bio" about me for the live auction gift certificates I am donating and had wrote " Winner of Bride's Choice for 2009". I laughed and told her I not won such an award! But it turns out I did and she had found out about it first! Wedding Wire, a great website (slightly like TripAdvisor) had their annual awards and turns out I won. So, yay!
Hope Everyone has a wonderful Valentines & Family Day Long weekend and I look forward to posting images from my weddings on Tuesday.
Lots of V-day love,
Kelsy

Tara & Clint (& Trinity!)- Esession
I had the pleasure of photographing Tara & Clint this past week along with Clint's perfectly adorable daughter, Trinity. I really enjoyed meeting Trinity and jumping with her in the snow. She is very sweet and just ready to have fun! I had a lovely afternoon of walking through the Ravine and getting to know this wonderful couple a bit better. Now the countdown for the wedding is on... let's pray for similar weather to make your winter wedding complete!
Hope you're both getting excited!!
Cheers,
Kelsy
