Shannon & Kurt- May 26

"And the greatest gift is love..."

When I entered Shannon and Kurt's home for the getting ready portion of the day, this was the first thing I saw. A small plaque with those words engraved struck me deeply, and came to be on my mind all day. If you caught the evening news on Saturday night you would have watched parts of Shannon and Kurt's wedding. Shannon's mother is very ill from cancer and was unable to attend her daughters wedding, although she wanted too with everything she had. Thanks to Michelle French , Andrew Grose, and Capital Health, Shannon's mother was able to watch the ceremony at the hospital through direct feed via the Internet. It was an emotional day....I go to many weddings were I cry, but this was different. A hospital visit after the ceremony was an incredible, beautiful display of love from this amazing family. This was an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Love truly is the greatest gift we can be given. The love of a mother, the love of a daughter. The love of our Father in Heaven helping us through one more day. The love of our family and friends supporting us in whatever life gives us. The love of a new father...Kurt also got a new title that day, one I am positive he will excel at. Love constantly amazes and inspires me, and I feel so blessed to have been able to be in the presence of so much of it on Saturday. Words simply can not express the beauty of it.

Being a Behind the Scenes Events wedding, everything was superb and the decor was incredible. Michelle French always helps to put on the most beautiful weddings. The ceremony was perfect, the formals fun, the reception a treat! Andrew Grose from the Laughing for Cancer Charity, did an amazing comedy show. It was an awesome addition to this wedding...something well looking into for your upcoming wedding. They are hoping to raise $1,000,000 for cancer, so log on and see how you can help..... Onto the images:

Onto Fort Edmonton for some fun formal pics...

BIG kisses!
Ever try taking a picture while the ride keeps spinning around and around?....although I'm sure they didn't mind holding that kiss... the only thing was Kurt was going down while Shannon was going up...very entertaining!
Michelle French's beautiful head table. Everything was stunning in champagne and chocolate brown.
Laughing it up at the comedian, Andrew Grose.
A bit tearful from the speeches
Aww, the infamous laugh during the hunt for the garter!
Thank you again for allowing me to be apart of your special day.
Lots of hugs,
Kelsy
